Primrose Trunk-or-Treat

Primrose hosted a Trunk-or-Treat for the kids on the afternoon of Halloween and it was fun to see all the kids dressed in their costumes. They first paraded around and then it was organized chaos getting the kiddos to go from car to car but it all worked out in the end. Preston and I went around together while my mom & dad enjoyed watching Preston trunk-or-treat. It was soo nice of the parents who took the time to decorate their cars for the kids and dressed up themselves too.
This was a great way to start off the day of Halloween!!

Mickey "Mee Mee" Mouse Costume

This year for Halloween I knew Preston couldn't go as anyone besides Mickey Mouse. Right now he watches Mickey Mouse Club House religiously and absolutely loves it. When I went out to find a toddler Mickey Mouse costume, the pickings were slim so I put on my creative mom hat and went to work. I found a black long sleeve shirt, black leggings from the girls section, red sweat pants that I hemmed shorter, sewed on 2 big white buttons and finished it off by sewing a button on the back for his tail. His mickey ears and hands were easy and I was totally surprised Preston worn either of those items. Oh and I spray painted a pair of his shoes that he was growing out of yellow.
I'm pretty happy with the way his costume turned out and I think he was too!
I couldn't resist going as Minnie Mouse!

5K Color Run

Sue and I have been on a fun journey together training for the Dallas White Rock Lake Half Marathon and part of our training was to complete a 5K. What better way than to run in the MesquiteISD Color Run. I have always wanted to do a color run before but never really had anyone to do it with until now. I have really enjoyed growing my friendship with Sue and working together towards a memorable goal.
