We kicked off Thanksgiving with Preston at his school for their Thanksgiving lunch and it was extra special because Brent was able to come. Preston was beyond excited to see his mommy and daddy at his school during the day. He pretty much had a smile on his face the entire time we were there. I loved every minute of it.
This Thanksgiving marked our 4th Turkey Trot with the Turkey Trot gang and I love that we have continued with this tradition. It just gets everything off to such a fun and excited start and really gets you into the holiday spirit. Even though I have been training for my first half marathon, I decided to take it easy and walk the 5K with everyone. It was cold but not bitterly cold, so that was nice.
This year, we spent Thanksgiving with John and Kathy and Preston had a great time playing with his cousins on Kathy's side of the family. He doesn't get to see or play with them very often so its always nice when we get the opportunity to spend time with them. This also gave Kathy the perfect opportunity to take a family photo and take a picture with all her grandkids for their Christmas card this year. She knitted Mason and Preston a red scarf and made matching outfits for the girls and then gave them christmas lights to string around her and John for their photo. Kathy is soo creative and it came out soo cute.
