Brent celebrated his 33rd Birthday this year and we all got to celebrate in style by taking a weekend trip to Broken Bow, OK with Vicki, Dave, Brad and Jessie! Vicki and Dave are nearing their retirement phase and purchased a small speed boat for all of us to enjoy together and we have had so much fun with it so far!
During our weekend trip, we all stayed in a new log cabin and cooked breakfast and dinner each morning and night which was so nice. Vicki and Dave surprised us all when they pulled a huge box out of the back of Dave's truck. They bought a 4 seater massive tube to keep us all entertained while out on the lake. The best part was... Preston got to enjoy it too. In fact, he kept asking Grandpa to go faster!!
The lake was beautiful!! The entire lake is surrounded by a natural forest and has several islands throughout. There are no lakeview properties, so no matter where you are on the lake, every view is gorgeous. The water itself was clean feeling and pretty clear.
Each night we soothed ourselves after dinner by soaking in the hot tub at the cabin and sitting around the fire pit. Vicki and I both started to suspect that Brad and Jessie might be welcoming a new addition to the family soon. They ended up not telling us but we are holding out hope our suspensions are correct!!
