Thanks to CC Carpet, Preston got to have an experience of a lifetime as the "Play Ball" kid for the Rangers game on September 21, 2016. It was so exciting to do something so rare. Brent was beyond excited and started practicing with Preston the day we found out Preston was going to be able to be one of the "Play Ball" kids to an upcoming game. He called the whole family and encouraged everyone to buy tickets and come watch Preston which of course everyone did! It was also $1 hotdog night which didn't hurt either.
It was so nerve racking to watch Preston walk out onto the field but we knew he would do great and he did. It was so cute thou when "Captain" was trying to interact with Preston out there but Preston kept focused staring straight ahead, which is what he was told to do. "Captain" tried giving him a high five, fist bump, fist bump and even nudged him with his nose but Preston didn't budge from staring straight ahead. Finally it was time and "Captain" moved the mic in front of Preston and Preston yelled "PLAY BALL!!" The crowd cheered and Preston had the biggest smile on his face.
To make the night even that more memorable, Brent invited the family to come to watch P and then stay and watch the game. So Nana, Grandpa, Grandma, Grandpa, Peeps and Uncle B all came. Mal and Paw Paw kept Parker for us. It was such a fun night that we will all cherish!
