We took our first vacation as a family of four to Destin Florida!! It was such a blessing that we had a free place to stay for an entire week and the cherry on top was that it was probably one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. We stayed at a 3-level beach house in Miramar Beach, Florida with our own private pool and golf cart to make going to the beach a breeze. With all that room, we couldn't resist inviting my parents and Vicki & Dave to come with us!
This was Parker's first plane ride and Preston's first time to remember a plane ride...he loved the feeling of the take-off and looking out the window and being up with the clouds. We flew and my parents and Vicki & Dave drove so they didn't arrive until that evening. While we waited on them to arrive, Preston was chomping at the bit to go to the beach so we jumped on the golf cart and headed out. We took a quick tour around and then set Preston loose to play on the beach. His reaction was so heart warming that I wished I could bottle that emotion up and relive it again and again. It was heaven on earth for him!
First Day
Beach Day
The first day, we all agreed we needed to spend that time at the beach and then do dinner on the beach that night and that is exactly what we did. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not cold at all and full of sunshine. Preston played in the sand with Daddy, Mal and Grandma building sand castles and being buried alive! We had fun trying to catch little fishies in our sand buckets and Parker liked listening to the sound of the real ocean! That evening we ate at a restaurant right on the beach and watched the sunset! When we got back to the house, we put Parker to bed and then played a game of joker where the infamous "Bye-Bye" wave from Preston was born.

The second day, we explored a little by driving around and then had a fun day at an adventure park that was Dinosaur themed!
