Halloween was so fun this year for many reasons...(1) of course is having Parker, (2) getting to trick-or-treat in our new neighborhood that is known for being a great trick-or-treating neighborhood, (3) having my parents and Vicki & Dave come over and trick-or-treat with us and (4) watching Preston's face completely light up when we randomly ran into Liam, one of his good friends from school!
We were about 5 houses in when Preston yelled out "LIAM"!! with pure joy in his voice. The 2 boys hugged and asked if they could trick-or-treat together. We said yes of course and then the boys took off holding hands running from house to house. It worked out perfectly running into Liam because Preston had an absolute blast with him. I loved every moment and the neighborhood certainly didn't disappoint.
There were trick-or-treaters everywhere, people driving their decked out golf carts blaring Halloween music and lots of homes covered their front lawn with impressive Halloween decorations. To top it off, towards the end there was a house with a guy dressed in a full Iron Man costume and he made it such a big deal when Preston walked up in his Iron Man costume. He gave him a swift high-five and it was the most perfect picture!
Parker did great all night and Grandpa loved holding him most of the time. It was funny though because some people thought Parker was a girl when they saw him in his Candy Corn costume.
When we got back home, Preston and I went through all his candy and he even shared some with a few late night trick-or-treaters that came by.
Happy Halloween!!
Time to go!!
