This year we hosted Christmas Eve and I was more than happy to do so. I absolutely love our new house and it looks so cute decorated for Christmas. It just feels so homey and welcoming I feel. We served our traditional chicken enchiladas and then before we opened gifts, we sang a few Christmas songs and we let Makinzi choose which songs we sang. David and Chad led us with the guitar and that was probably my favorite part. We couldn't hold the kids off any longer so after singing a few songs, we started opening the gifts starting with Parker and Hank.
The gift opening went really well and I think the kids were all happy with what they received. Afterwards, us adults did our "As Seen on TV" gift exchange and in traditional fashion, Grandma came out ahead and stole the best gifts!!
Preston loved his fart gun and his ultimate hot wheels garage and Parker loved his walker and table-top play center!!
At the end of the night, Vicki and Dave came over and spent the night with us. Preston set out cookies and milk for Santa and we were ready for Christmas Day to begin!!
