Happy Birthday & Happy Halloween

The holiday's have officially begun!!! This year Bub got to celebrate his birthday by chowing down on some good ol greesy chinese food and boy did I love every minute of it myself. Michelle got him 2 birthday cakes...thats my kind of girl, a cookie cake and a tres leches cake. She invited several of their close friends and we had a good time talking and cheering on the Texas Rangers!! Happy Birthday Bub!!

Halloween was a little different this year. We started the night off by going to our Church's Harvest Fest. The kids had fun watching a short skit then hit the halls to play games and get candy. After they made their rounds they were ready for the good ol fashion trick-or-treating. We hit the streets in our usual spot and the kids loaded their bags full. It was fun this year because Jerod got to be with all his best buds...Caden, Gracie, Cutter and of course his wonderful, sweet, very cool aunt!! Happy Halloween

Just a few 1st in our new home

Well, home improvement projects and quick fixes are keeping Brent and I pretty busy these days. So far we have fixed the blown dryer, fixed a hot electrical box, unclogged the bathroom drain, still working on the critter in the attic that comes out at night, changed the sprinkler settings several times, mowed twice now, painted the garage floor, we have had a painter and counter guy come out to give us estimates and the list seems to go on and on. I wouldn't change anything in the world tho, I love owning a home and I can't wait to see what else is in store for us!! : )

Brent mowing for the first time, luckily he said he enjoyed it...we'll see how long that last : )

Brent getting ready to paint his garage floor, he has been waiting a long time to do this! He acid-washed it first and cleaned it really well, time to paint and sprinkle

Big Orange Pumpkin Patch Round 2

Me and my family (minus Brent) went back to Big Orange Pumpkin Patch in Celina this year to find our pumpkins. Although we had a good time, I think we might try somewhere new next year. Jerod missed the bounce house that they had last year and the hay ride was the same but they did have snowcones this year!! It was still a good time and I love doing fun holiday activities!! : )
