Halloween Dinner at Vicki and Dave's

Vicki and Dave invited everyone over for a fun halloween dinner to celebrate Jessie's birthday. For dinner we had burnt flesh (pulled pork) covered in blood (bbq sauce) with a side of brains (cream corn) and we washed it all down with a cup of grams' witch's brew. After dinner we all plopped our full tummy's on the couch and watched the cowboys get creamed. It was a fun night!!

Trick-or-Treat!!!

After our doctors appointment, Brent and I headed to Mesquite to go trick-or-treating with the gang probably for the last time. With Jerod getting older and we'll have Preston next year, I wanted to make sure I got one more good trick-or-treating in with Jerod before he got too big for it. We all went to Dickey's to fill our tummy's then it was off to go door to door. We went to our usual spot in Mesquite and there were so many people. To me, it makes it way more fun when there are a lot of people around. Many of the homes had haunted houses set up and we saw Elvis again this year. At the end of the night, little paw paw headed up leaving 6 adults and 2 kids to all fit in Bub and Michelle's car. So we open the back and all the boys rode with the truck open back home. It was kind of funny to see Brent and James hanging out of the back of the car. Jerod and Caden loved it of course. Good times!!

7th Doctors Appointment

Brent and I had our 7th doctors appointment on Monday, Oct 31st. From here on out, I will start going to the doctor every 2 weeks until I start going every week. The time is flying by and Preston Jack will be here before we know it. Our appointment was on Halloween and I wanted to wear my baby skeleton shirt but I was running late and didn't have time to throw it on. I'm sure Dr. Grisham would have gotten a good laugh had I of worn it.
Millicent weighed me and I was tipping the scale at 160 pounds. So far, I have gained 22 pounds. I'm beginning to feel a little uncomfortable as my belly keeps getting bigger and bigger. Its getting harder to bind over and Brent had to help me put my shoes on the other day.
Millicent told me I passed the gestational diabetes test with flying colors, thank goodness!! Dr. Grisham came in and measured my tummy and I had grown from 23 centimeters to 28 centimeters which made him very happy. He then listened to Preston's heartbeat and all was good. He did ask us if we wanted to schedule our delivery but I told him I wanted Preston to come when he was ready. I asked Dr. Grisham how long past my due date he would allow me to go and he said he wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks which would be a cut off date of Jan 31st.
We are so blessed and can't wait to meet our little boy!!

Work Baby Shower!!!

I had my first baby shower on Friday, Oct 21, 2011 thrown by my very good work friends Ashley Payne-Wilson and Christy Jacobs. Ashley and Christy hosted my shower at One-2-One Restaurant in Frisco and they ordered all my favorite foods like crab cakes, pizza, egg rolls, spinach dip and brie. I told Ashley that I couldn't believe this day has finally come. I had been on pins and needles all week because I was soo excited for not only my shower but my first BABY shower. I have waited forever for this day and not only do I get to enjoy this one but 2 more showers as well!!!

The first thing I saw when I came in was Preston's first cake dedicated to him. It had Baby Preston written in blue icing with a cute little stork on it. All of us girls sat around the table munching on the food and catching up on all the new work gossip. Then it was time to open presents. I got so many good things like a bath center, blankets, my pack-in-play, head support, baby einstein travel along player, grooming kit, cover for shopping cart, onesies, boppy and bath accessories. But my big present came in the end when all the girls chipped in and gave me a $200 gift card to Buy Buy Baby. That will defiantly come in handy!! Ashley and Christy served the cake after all the presents were opened and then we took a group photo.

I'm well on my way to getting all the things little baby Preston will need!!
