The Leaning Tower of Pisa was one of the highlights of the trip for me. It's one of those things that you always hear about but never really believe you will get to see. The tower was first built in 1173 and began to sink shortly after due to poor foundation and loose soil. The bell tower has been worked on by 3 different architects over the life of the tower. Still to this day, the tower can fall at any time.

Florence, Italy was absolutely amazing. I didn't really know what to expect here but we got a hand full of surprises. We got to see the real tomb of Michelangelo, the real statue of David (hand carved by Michelangelo) and the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge.

This is the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Built in the time of the Romans, this Medieval bridge is now completely enclosed and houses many shops for jewelry and art.

Brunelleschi's Dome - the largest masonry dome ever built. It towers over the entire city of Florence.
