"Cutest Show on Earth" Shower

My unbelievable family threw me a family baby shower on Saturday, November 12, 2011. My shower was a carnival theme and perfectly titled "The Cutest Show on Earth". My Mom and Michelle made all kinds of decorations to bring the theme to life and I was amazed at how creative they got. First, my Mom made a welcome tent to go on the front door greeting all the guest as they entered. It was soo cute and I couldn't believe she made it by hand. Then they made a really cute carnival banner that read "Preston Jack". The flowers were arranged in an antique cookie jar, tin and clown vase and my Mom found several antique toys that went perfectly with the carnival theme and will look adorable in Preston's room. The cake was decorated to match the carnival tent from the invitations and she even had them put little elephants on the cake. I helped them decorate the living room and dining room with crate paper to image a carnival tent and balloons to fill the air.

To keep the guest entertained my Mom came up with several games. The belly measure game that Tina won. The price is right game that Makinzi won. The bottle ring toss that Jessie won and the cake walk that Mindi, Alieen and Pat won. The best game of course was the necklace game. If you said the word "cute" and someone caught you saying it, they got to steal your necklace. The one with the most necklaces at the end of the shower won the grand prize!! It was a lot of fun and everyone really got into it by trying to trick others into saying the word cute.

The food turned out really good too. We ordered deluxe sandwiches from Jason's Deli, Vicki made her crescent rolls, meat balls and cheese ball, Kathy made a yummy spinach dip and my mom even had cotton candy for everyone to enjoy. My fav!!

When it came time to open presents, I was a bit overwhelmed by the generosity from everyone. I got so many nice things and so many things I really needed.
Brent, Preston and I are so blessed to having such amazing people in our lives and we can't thank everyone enough for everything!!
