This was Parker's first Valentine's Day and it couldn't have been more sweet watching Preston and Parker open their Valentine's Day cards and gifts. Nana and Grandpa sent both the boys cards and Grandma and Grandpa gave Parker a cute stuffed elephant and gave Preston a monster truck and Captain America car!
Preston loves Parker so much and he was so excited to help Parker open his card and gift. He gave Parker a big hug at the end and said he loved him so much and Parker returned the love with a big'o smile.
I gave Brent a card that morning and he surprised me with a beautiful arrangement of flowers that afternoon!!
Preston had his Valentine's party at school and although I was planning to go, work got the best of me and I couldn't go but luckily Brent was able to go and he took Parker with him! I think that was a first for Daddy...having both boys by himself and not at the house. He did good but Parker's bottle did spill all over him and got his clothes all wet but thats ok, they all survived!
That evening, we indulged ourselves and hate a plate full of cheddar cheese fries and hamburgers at Snuffers.
When we got back from dinner, we all gathered in the living room to unwind and watch a little TV. While we were hanging out, Preston asked randomly if there was anything in the dresser top drawer and not really paying attention, I just responded with no. He then proceeded to open the drawer and said, there is a present in here for you and Daddy with the biggest smile on his face! Brent and I both looked at each other, to see if the other one knew anything about this and we both had no idea how a present got in the top drawer and how Preston knew about it but we didn't. We excitement, we opened the gift and it had a green heart with a message from Preston on it that read..." and a 9lb bag of sour patch kids. We learned that Grandma helped Preston with the gift and told him to keep it a secret until Valentine's Day and that is exactly what he did. She wanted him to experience the joy of giving and she totally accomplished that because he was so excited to give us his gift!! We love you so much Preston Jack!!!
