Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

Brent and I went on a much needed vacation this past week to Playa Del Carman, Mexico and it was everything everyone said it would be...basically fantastic!! We did a bunch of lying around, swinging in the hammock admiring the crystal blue waters, napping, strolling down 5th avenue, sipping on margaritas, getting some exercise snorkeling and letting our adventure side come out by zip-lining and driving ATV's through stalagmite caves!!!

First Day
Almost there

First glance of Mexico

Another relaxing day at the resort

Brent & I broke the hammock on our balcony when we tried to sit in it together so they brought us a new one. It was a little tight and didn't fit on the hooks so this is Brent trying to be a he-man by stretching it out. That obviously didn't work so they brought us extra rope to tie on the ends

Perfect view from our balcony

Our favorite place

Dinner at Maria - I wore my new seƱora shirt I bought on 5th avenue

My wonderful hubby...isn't he cute : )

Brent had to eat at an authentic mexican restaurant before we left and that is exactly what we got. Our waiter didn't even speak hardly any english : /

Brent always befriends a cat everywhere we go...he misses Low

All good things must come to an end...farewell Mexico

MillerCoors San Antonio Trip

This week I was in San Antonio for our MillerCoors Southwest Meeting and it turned out to be a lot of fun. We got to stay at the Marriott on the Riverwalk which was really nice. The first night we went to the Dallas Cowboy's Rally at the Alamodome and it was really cool seeing all the players, coaches and cheerleaders.

The following nights we all participated in pub crawls and on the last night we all ended up at Coyote Ugly. I'm not sure what was in the air but we all had the best time ever on a work outing. After a few beers (of course) and a few shots people started getting a little wild; dancing on the bar, playing the air guitar and limbo. At the meeting the next morning everyone had a good laugh as the "first ever" picture slide show was shown for all to see.

Wet Zone & My Parents 35th Wedding Anniversary

I finally got a chance to hang out with my little nephew, Jerod before the summer comes to an end. My mom and I took him to Wet Zone in Rowlett and he we had such a blast. Jerod showed me all his water tricks, we went down the water slide, floated the lazy river, played water wars and surfed on his skull board. Michelle, Bubba and Gracie all came later in the day so we ended up staying till they closed at 8pm. Towards the end we all chowed down on hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, snow cones, chili cheese fries and sodas. Not the healthiest but boy it sure was good!!

Quick pic before we hit the water

Dip-n-Dots (my favorite)

Michelle & Mom just chillin

Fun in the Sun!!

My parents celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary on July 26th, 2009. It was a special time for all of us!! We all celebrated by taking them out to lunch at Texas Road House. Bubba, Michelle & Jerod gave them a nice card and an "Anniversary" frame engraved with their nicknames for each other on it (Abby & Abby). Grandma & Leon gave them a card with some nice green in it and I wrote a poem about them and how much they mean to me. My parents have given me a family beyond compare and I love them with all my heart and sole!!

Beautiful flowers my dad got my mom

Congratulations Mom & Dad on 35 wonderful years!!!!

Brent's 27th Birthday!!

Brent turned 27 years old this month. I can't believe he will be 30 in just 3 more years...crazy!! We started his celebration with lunch at Outback with my family and cupcakes for dessert. Then we went out with Colby & Heather at Champps in Addison where Brent proceeded to get pretty drunk..of course. It's his birthday, so I couldn't complain. His birthday came to an end when we went to dinner with his Dad, Kathy and Brad to Trader Vic's. They have excellent drinks but I wouldn't recommend the food. Happy B-Day B-Rent!!!

Lunch at Outback

Birthday Cupcakes (Brent's favorite, and they were strawberry too)

Brent got an air compressor from my parents

Brent thinks he's on drink #2, but really he's on #5

Til next year!! : )

NKOTB

Me, my sister-in-law (Michelle) and her good friend all went to the NKOTB concert in July and it was awesome!! The best part was half way through the show we realized Kelly Clarkson was 4 seats away from us. I didn't want to bother her so I didn't get a picture with her but it was still pretty cool that she was just a few seats away!! Good times!!
