High Tea Party

For my big "28" my mom planned a Girls Only Tea Party to celebrate my 28th and my grandmother's 76th birthday. What better way than to have a tea party with the girls on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in a cute little ol' house in Plano. Its actually one of the founding homes of Plano and the family still owns the home. They rent it out to these 2 ladies who have turned it into a really cute tea room. I have never done a High Tea before but I really enjoyed it. High Tea is a 5 course meal in which they serve you on real china dishware, serve 3 hot teas throughout the meal, soup, sorbet, biscuits, sandwiches, fruit and desserts. All of us girls got dressed up in dresses, hats and gloves and got to be extremely girly for the day. It was a fun day and wonderful memory!!

Mindi's 25th B-day!!

Ok, so I know I am sooo late in posting this blog but better late than never. All the girls got together for Mindi's 28th Birthday at Manny's Uptown and it was such a good time. We all got strawberry margarita's (ok not Sue cause she is pregers!!!!), talked baby talk of course and I think we pissed the waiter off because we were there for so long catching up. After dinner, we were all feeling adventurous so we headed to Sherlock's for more drinks. At that point is when we found out how old we really are cause we complained to each other that the band was too loud and we couldn't hear each other talk. It was a fun night and we can't wait to find out if Sue is having a boy or girl!!!

Bring on the strawberry margarita's!!

Bring on the dessert

Happy Birthday to YOU

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!

Super Bowl 2011 - Arlington, TX

Pre-Party at House of Blues
Brent and I got to go to the pre-party at House of Blues hosted by Miller Lite and the Dallas Cowboys featuring Drake. It was a lot of fun and I saw a lot of celebrities like the Matthew Morrison from Glee, Emmitt Smith's wife, all the Dallas Cowboy players like Miles Austin, Ashton and Demi Moore and of course Pete Coors to name a few. Brent proceeded to drink a little too much but luckily he held it pretty good until we were in the car on our way home. It was a fun night to say the least!!

Super Bowl Party at our house
Brent and I held a small family party at our house to watch the super bowl and to eat on some good grub. I was hoping Bub, Michelle and Jerod could come but they were all pretty sick that week so my parents and Brent's Mom and Dave watched the game with us. Brent's brother and girlfriend Jessie were going to come as well but last minute Brad got a free ticket to go to the Super Bowl...so not fair.

My corny decorations

Mini dounut balls...yummy!!

Munching on the good food...chips, dip, cookies, soup, fruit, veggies and mini smokies

Early Prediction - Girls vote Packers, Boys vote Steelers

Girls WIN!!!!!!!!!! Go Packers!!!

Texas Sized Snow Day

I couldn't believe we got a blanket of 6" of snow after staying home from work for 2 days because we got iced in. This has been one crazy week considering all the big cities closed their schools 4 days in a row...that's unheard of. I enjoyed it thou...got to work from home, spend time with Brent, run the fireplace and ate odd meals all week because we couldn't get out of the house to get anything good. This weekend is Super Bowl weekend here in Dallas and we are hosting our first super bowl party. Pics to come...

Well good morning 6" of snow

Spring Trimming

My sweet parents came over last weekend before all this crazy snow to help Brent & I get a grip on our yard that was covered in leaves. They even helped us trim all our crepe myrtles that I didn't realize would be such a feat. I walked to the back of the house to find my mom lodged up in the tree trimming the hard to get to limbs. That is true dedication. She got them all trimmed thou.
Thanks for your help you guys!!
