Preston got his first haircut in preparation for his first birthday on Saturday, January 5th. We were trying to wait to get his first hair cut on his actual birthday but his hair was just way too long to wait a whole another month. Poor boy’s hair was starting to get in his eyes and was growing over his ears. It was actually kind of cute but it was time. Brent made it very apparent, that he wanted to keep Preston’s hair in a long style and he didn’t want to cut a lot off. So, with our game plan, we went to a nearby children’s hair salon and crossed our fingers that he wouldn’t scream the whole time.
Preston did fabulous and didn’t cry or try to get out of the seat the whole time. Brent and I were both very astonished. He loved the metal car that he go to sit in but most of all, he loved acting like he was driving it. He was such a trooper and you could totally tell this was his first hair cut because Brent and I (ok mainly me) where taking pictures left and right the whole time.
I got a little nervous that he was going to not like the electric clippers because of the buzzing noise but he did great with that too and just kept a close eye on the lady controlling the clippers.
Good job, Bubba. We love you!!
