Ice Skating in Downtown Frisco

My holiday vacation couldn't have started out any better than Thursday afternoon after getting off work at noon and taking my little nephew and his friend Caden ice skating at the outdoor ice skating rink in Downtown Frisco. There is just something about getting out and enjoying a winter activity like ice skating to kickoff the holidays!! My mom and I got the boys all geared up with their ice skates and watched them take to the ice for the first time. It took them a little while to get their groove but after just a few minutes of hanging on the side rail for dear life, they finally managed to venture out onto the ice and really begin to enjoy ice skating.

Eventually they started to show off all their "tricks" they were coming up with along with getting soaked from the water on the ice rink. After a few good hours of skating, the boys got hungry so we headed to sonic for a quick bite and to warm up our very cold toes. After inhaling a few chili cheese coneys, the boys were ready to head back to the ice rink for more skating and to watch the light show. The light show was awesome. It still amazes me how they figure out how to coordinate all those lights with music.

I had so much fun hanging out with Jerod, Caden and my Mom. Loved every minute of it!!
